12P/Pons-Brooks 11th May

This comet still putting on a show even though its getting fainter.


19 x 60 subs Meade 80mm triplet 480mm fl ASI 294mc camera. The second image is a crop of the first, the two galaxies in the tail background are mag 13 and 14

Well done Rick!

I use about the same focal length but I can't get DSS to do a clean combo stacking of comet + stars.
Did you use DSS?

Yes I used DSS, I found the comet was fairly slow moving so I just stacked on the stars. The comet might be a bit blurred but not noticeable. I probably should try comet stacking and check the difference.
