Hi Guys I have recently downloaded Bitdefender Virus Protection, which i bought for 3 devices.

That is all well and good and it went OK, and has a window where one can send the download to another device by copying the link given and send it to that device.

One cannot just copy and paste it somewhere but it is copied to My Clipboard, however the only thing is that my OS for win 8.1 and Win 10 for that matter doesn't have a clipboard, so how would one go about sending this link to another device please.

Thanks in advance :)

Leon

I find it hard to believe you do not have a clipboard, I have windows 7 and 10 on 2 separate computers, and both have clipboards.

Yes Peter I would of thought that there was a clip board, however i read somewhere just recently that this facility has been omitted from Win 8 and 10 as well.

Maybe I should not believe everything that i read.

Hi Leon

I have Win 10 Pro 64 and it has a Clipboard.

Watch the Youtube video that Peter posted and it shows you how to access it. Mine is turned off - see the attached screen capture.

Cheers

Leon

Have you tried the " Ctrl + V " keys

As in, select text or whatever, copy with Ctrl + C the with the mouse where you want the copied item press Ctrl + V

Well I looked at that video and tried to do what it suggested, however for the life of me I cannot find this clipboard it just dose not come up as the video shows.

I am on Win 8.1 maybe that is why it is not the same, i will keep trying, thanks for your suggestions.

Leon,
Think of the clipboard as a”hidden” folder.....
The image etc when you save it goes to this folder....
Open a suitable file (usually a text type file) and the right click “paste” ( or alt -v) to show the copy in your new file.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ken, I have no problem copying and pasting anything really, but this link that i need to copy to a clipboard is new to me.

I do as i am asked for this particular procedure, but once i have clicked copy to clipboard, I cant find where it went so that i can send it to another computer so i can download this particular program to that new device.

As I mentioned earlier I bought a program which can be loaded to 3 devices which i am trying to do, but i cant find the link i copied to the clipboard because i cant find the clipboard to open it to find that link that i have copied there.

Now i am sure that is as clear as mud

Thanks for your suggestion.

Just found this, and copied and pasted it here ;)

Mar 9, 2017 - There is no Clipboard viewer application included in Windows 8. Try a free application like Free Clipboard Viewer. I have just learned from Wikipedia that it is possible to copy the executable from Windows XP and use it in Windows Vista, 7 and 8. See here for details.

No I am really confused

Hi Guys, well at last, I have actually found out where my copied stuff goes.

Sorry about all the asking etc, and thanks for all your help. it seems that windows Office has the Clipboard function and is quiet easily accessible.

The truth is it was staring me in the face. :scared3:
