Aah!, now I see what it means, a bit rude me thinks. I was bought up in a different era, not the done thing then.

I have no idea who you're referring to :)
Steve, does this really need another thread? You could have easily sent a PM and asked.

my 96 yr old nanna just yelled out it means for F*#*k sake:rofl::rofl::rofl::lol:
Good onya Granma!
I thought likewise with you Iceman.
Sorry, Unipol, I read your title and thought, "what, still going?" Also wondered why you didn't just pm Mike. You didn't actually ask him what it meant in other thread.
I think Iceman has handled the issue and related crumbs in appropriate manner - different from me but for the good nonetheless.
This thread was good for a laugh and I wondered what ffs meant. So, the wisdom of ages comes through.

For those of you young enough, the classic 90s shoot 'em up game Doom had an umltimate weapon BFG 9000, which stood for Big (ahem) Friendly Gun http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BFG_9000

http://www.urbandictionary.com/ for all your modern phraseology needs e.g.
carnevoyeur (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=carnevoyeur&defid=3537194)
"A vegetarian who derives satisfaction from watching other people eat meat or hearing about the eating of meat.
Amy says she's a vegetarian, but she also professes her love for Dinty Moore beef stew and keeps telling me I should go eat Korean Fried Chicken. She's such a carnevoyeur"

I agree on both quotes.....and I feel for you Mike( and other mods).
However by replying to this post I guess I'm just adding to the banter:P.
BTW Steve, google is your friend.....type in FFS (http://www.google.com.au/search?q=ffs&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a) into google and you get an answer.....in 0.10 seconds...;)
Cheers

Aha!! Caught out, Unipol!:hi:
Hard to believe that you would not have checked on the net for the meaning. Playing innocent  A bit rude me thinks.
AND I do NOT lthink that type of language (still offensive in short form or long) is appropriate on the forums that I use; ESPECIALLY by the head moderator
Sorry to drag this thread on.

By gees Craig, you're sharp as a Tak, maybe you should apply for a moderators position, I hope it pays well.
Actually, I enjoy your posts and threads, Steve.
Sorry to give you heaps.
What's a Tak, something dull and not highly prized? My internet is down. ;)

You know what Craig, I can take heaps, after thirty six odd years of high school teaching (now retired but subject myself to the odd teaching flagellations to help fund my telescope equipment addiction) I have been called many things by the kiddies (young people/eventually to become adults) but cannot abide by the ignorance of someone who does not know what a Tak is, so Tak Tak to you, get your internet fixed.

I'm hoping that tongue in cheek is the order of the day for complaining about language?
Get thee to a nunnery....
