Thinking in terms of some advance planning, and given I'm going to miss today's eclipse, and with another one on 8th April 2024, what would be the ideal sort of lightweight solar imaging setup would I need, and which I could easily travel with from Australia to the US? I'd want something quick and easy to set up, and which can grab images automwticslly . So I'd want to be able to watch totality visually, whilst the equipment gathers the images. Is that sort of capability possible?
With the rate that technology is advancing, I would wait until 2022 to ask that question then have a dry-run on the somewhat closer 2023 total eclipse in WA
