Hi Paul,
Great to see you busy imaging again
Some nice popular emission nebula in and around Sagittarius, Scorpius and Carina
Really nice image of Carina !
Well done !!
Just a quick one and suggestion , any reason why you’re using a dedicated light pollution filter under your B2/3 dark skies and no moon around ??
These IDAS LP2 filters are generally designed and used for severe light polluted locations ( B6 to B9 ) with OSC, eg : my Sydney B8 location.
Might be worthwhile seeing what no filter at all produces !!
If you do have a street light nearby , might be better to shield it with a tarp or similar and use no filter , you will definitely bring out more detail and colour in the nebula and star field too.
That filter won’t reduce your read noise , shot noise or thermal noise which is mitigated by dithering , calibration and more stacked subs. The filter will just minimise a tiny bit of gradient under your lovely dark skies )
Cheers
Martin
