Sun Halo from Thailand

Hi all,
iPhone capture of Sun Halo over Hua Hin, Thailand this morning.
Very striking and dramatic!
Cheers

First for me too - seen a few moon dog halos on very cold, misty nights in Hahndorf,SA.

But never one around the sun from the hotel pool, 32°C and 73% humidity!!

Cheers leon, weird thing to see...I was in hotel pool squinting in the midday sun. Suz gave me her sunnies to put on and I noticed the ring around the sun. I thought it was the polarized sunnies producing some strange effect, so I passed them back for her to look too, and that's when we saw it was a real thing and snapped a few pics!

Suz and myself on a SE Asia jaunt - Bali/Malaysia/Thailand, home on 16/8
Cheers - Doug
