Saturn one day after opposition

Last night I thought I'll combine testing the code changes for my Arduino clock drive with a try to catch Saturn near opposition.
The imaging didn't quite work out as clouds kept drifting in, preventing me from capturing a proper RGB data set.
This image is from a single 5000 frame AVI though the red filter.
I used only 1400 frames.
16" Dall-Kirkham and ZWO ASI290MM.

The intrinsic resolution of this image is superb.

Some colour would take it to the next level.

Thanks Peter,

As you know, aperture rules.

I desperately need to have the mirrors recoated though.
Until then I find it hard to motivate myself to use the scope because it is not achieving its full potential.

Super sharp even with the noise. The optics may not be at full potential but still bringing the goods! Great stuff

Thanks Dave,

Yes, if the clouds had allowed me to capture a good set of data, spanning something like 8 minutes, I would've been able to produce a good image.
