Image files download time

Downloading image files from the camera take a part of the time that can be used for exposures. I investigated how long this time is in some different situation. From the beginning only the Canon 6D DSLR camera but added today the Nikon D800. The last measurements done on a Raspberry Pi5 setup, at bottom of page 2.

Here are the setup and downloading time:

The Raspberry Pi5 together with the new 64 bit OS system makes it a lot faster.

Interesting, I haven't even tried my Raspberry pi 4 yet and they've brought a 5 out?
They were hard things to get hold of during COVID, I think I waited for the 8GB unit.

It was the same to me, when I bought the RPi5 the 8GB version was sold out. But I bought the 4GB version, it must be enough, cheaper too.

There is a big difference between the 32 bit version and 64-bit. The 32-bit version isn't developed anymore. I read somewhere that the 64-bit version can be run on the older RPi4 too.
