M20

Hello again !

M20 collected about a month ago .
I was happy with it on my calibrated editing PC but it's lost some finer details on this uncalibrated PC and doesn't look near as nice .
50 Darks 20 Lights 20 Bias and 20 Flats .

Most of the editing was done in Pixinsight but the last touchups were done in Lightroom . There doesn't seem to be a Pixinsight equivelant of the Lightroom Radial filter/mask tool .

Hard to believe that was just 40 minutes of lights. You surely must have a huge and fast light bucket and found some dark skies.

Thanks Chris !

Hi Ross !
I should have mentioned the gear . SW 150ed f/7 ZWO 6200 OSC
Bortle 4

I don't have a lot of time for astrophotography so I'm treating this hobby like normal photography . Longer exposures bring out so much more detail and colour and you can see it in the test shots . If it's dull I just increase the exposure time . Obviously this won't work for everything .

The other thing is the histogram . You can see in the attached picture of the actual exposure on the night . The histogram is no where near where it should be and part of the detail is still being lost due to the exposure being too short .

I am a beginner and I don't have the long term knowledge but at the moment , this is working for me : )
