Trifid and Lagoon Nebula

This is a two panel mosaic, with data for the Trifid Nebula (139 x 3 min subs) collected in 2-5 July 2024 and data for the Lagoon Nebula (144 x 3 min subs) collected across 2-6 Sept 2024.

Sharpstar 13028 HNT hyperbolic newtonian, Skywatcher HEQ5, QHY533C, Optolong UV-IR cut. Captured from Strathalbyn, SA. Processed with Pixinsight 1.8.9-3

Lovely image Richard! Its a beautiful area of the sky to shoot in natural light, and you've done a great job with keeping M8's core under control!

That's good you captured that lovely open cluster below the Trifid.

You've got a nice widefield imaging setup there.
