This is a faint reflection nebula, RCW85, located in the constellation of Centaurus. With the long nights I have been basically shooting one filter all nite, so actually got over 30 hrs on this target. Real nice Ha, fair Sii and just about nil Oiii, with RGB stars. This is a Foraxx image of it, my first time using this narrowband blend. I'm happy with the results especially since it is a fairly small target for my WO 61 and 1600MM.
A really fascinating object. Great dedication to collect so much data and present this is so much detail. I've never tried this one myself but looks like a very challenging project. Nice work!
Thanks guys, I wasn't expecting much at all and am pleasantly surprised how it turned out. If you look at an individual 5min image there is hardly anything there. Total time does matters I guess.
