Intro, another newbie.

Hello everyone. Just a quick one to say G'day and introduce myself. My name is David, from Gin Gin, Queensland. Total beginner when it comes to Astronomy but my partner and I are keen to buy a telescope and do some observing of planets, comets and whatever else we can find of interest. Would really like to do some basic astrophotography as well. I guess like everyone else starting out, we have questions, lots of questions But we are the type who like to dig for our own info so I think we have most stuff covered. Other things that bring me/us joy are gardening, bonsai, keeping bees, camping, and I don't mind a bit of camp oven cooking and fireside reflecting even when at home.

Cheers,
Dave.

Welcome

Hi Dave

Welcome to the forum. You’ve come to the right place for friendly advice.
Before you dive into purchasing a new scope, check out the IceTrade Classifies below. If you wish to take a scope with you when camping, make sure you choose one that’s portable and easy to setup.

Others here will provide you with much more good advice.
