Doing Mosaics in Pixinsight

Hi there

What is the prevailing wisdom of processing mosaics.

Do I stitch together the panels for each filter and then process as per normal or do you combine each filter within in each panel and then stitch each combined panel together?

This is what works for me, working with SHO:
1. WBPP (all filters and tiles). You end up with multiple tiles for multiple filters.
2. Dynamic crop, if needed.
3. Gradient correction.
4. ImageSolver.
5. MosaicByCoordinates.
6. TrimMosaicTile (if Dynamic crop has not been used).
7. GradientMergeMosaic or PhotometricMosaic. Combination value set to Average.
8. StarAlign for the merged tiles for each filter. You end up with 3 large images, one for each filter.
9. Dynamic crop, if required.
10. Then process as usual. E.g., BlurXterminator, StarXterminator, linear stretch etc.
