Saturday Ha Sun 26th Oct

Hi

Attached is a Ha band image of the sun taken on the 26th October LT.
Best 11 of 17 reconstructed frames from my 100mm f/9 scope + SHG.

Reconstructed with Doug Smiths SHG Main software. Best frames selected and stacked with Autostakkert3!

Sharpened with deconvolution in Astrosurface.

Ive also attached a view of my 'nearly finished' next SHG.
I just have to finish off a few bits & then collimate it.

This one is based on a 150mm ED @ f/8 in a Littrow configuration with an ED80 for collimator and imaging lens.
It will give me about twice the current spectral resolution and the 150ED will have more than enough spatial resolution for my local seeing.

Cheers

Maurice

... Very nice overall view with a narrow half width.

The instrument looks very impressive and elaborately crafted. Congratulations.

Thank you Harald.
The new SHG will be sampling at about 0.025A/pixel.
It will interesting to see if there is any significant image difference in going narrower with the half width.
